Non-Discrimination and Equal Opportunities Policy
At Arnarlax, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, safe and respectful workplace for all employees, customers, and stakeholders. We believe that diversity enhances our business and strengthens our community.
At Arnarlax, everyone shall be treated with dignity and respect and activities shall be conducted without discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin or ancestry, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation, language, religion or any other status protected under applicable laws. With "discrimination" we refer to the unfair or prejudicial treatement of individuals or groups based on characteristics that are protected by law or recognized as inappropriate criteria for decision-making. This treatment may occur intentionally or unintentionally and can manifest in various forms, such as actions, policies, or practices that disadvantage certain peopel.
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, job applicants, vendors, customers, and any other parties engaging with Arnarlax and subsidiaries of Arnarlax. It encompasses all aspects of employment, including recruitment, hiring, promotions, transfers, compensation, benefits, training, termination, and all other terms and conditions of employment.
Employees are expected to follow Arnarlax "golden rule", which is based on good old-fashioned manners, for treating each other as colleagues.
We encourage all employees to take responsibility and actively contribute to a good working environment. All employees are required to adhere to these principles to ensure a respectful and equitable workplace. This also entails a right and duty to inform about, and not contribute to, matters that involve health hazards or risks, including harassment or improper conduct.
Employees or stakeholders who believe they have been subjected to discrimination or harassment are encouraged to report the incident to their manager, Human Resources, or through the company’s designated reporting system. Retaliation against individuals who raise concerns or participate in investigations is strictly prohibited. Violations of this policy will be taken seriously and may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Arnarlax respects and promotes the content of the ILO Conventions, including but not limited to the Equal Remuneration Convention (No. 100), the Discrimination (Employment and Occupation) Convention (No. 111), the Workers with Family Responsibilities Convention (No. 156) and the Maternity Protection Convention (No. 183). All managers with personnel responsibilities have a responsibility to ensure that these standards are upheld, and for the prevention, handling and restoration of a safe working environment.
Arnarlax regularly reviews this policy to ensure compliance with laws and best practices. We are dedicated to creating an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute their best.
